Brea, California, July 20, 2015 – PharMedQuest, provider of ARC™, announced today the appointment of Kurt Neumann, M.D., F.A.C.P., to the position of Executive Clinical Advisor for ARC™. In this role, Dr. Neumann will be part of the PharMedQuest and ARC™ management team and will provide guidance in developing quality and value programs for their clinical network.
Dr. Neumann has nearly three decades of community and health system oncology experience and expertise in facilitating Provider and Payer relations. He recently served as ION Solutions’ Medical Director for Quality Initiatives. Prior to that appointment, he was Vice Chair of Corporate Medical Oncology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan where he helped develop a private practice oncology service co-management model. He has also served as Director of Oncologic Services and Director of Hospice during his tenure at Beaumont and was in private practice as a senior partner at Hematology Oncology Consultants, P.C., where he practiced for more than 25 years.
He was a member of the executive and clinical team of Physician Resource Management and Oncology Physician Resource in Michigan where he served as co-Medical Director of the MI Oncology Clinical Treatment Pathways Program, a collaborative program designed to focus on enhancing the quality of care for patients with certain types of cancer. Dr. Neumann was responsible for executive oversight of professional collaborative quality initiatives, including ensuring the integrity behind the development and maintenance of clinical pathways. He has served as charter board member, President, Oncology Advisory Panel member, and a member of committees for the Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology, and was a founding member and executive of Oncology Physician Resource in support of Michigan community oncology practices.
Dr. Neumann graduated with high distinction from the University of Michigan and cum laude from Harvard Medical School. He completed his post graduate training including hematology and oncology fellowships at the University of California San Francisco. In addition to his MSHO volunteer commitments, Neumann has served as a board member of Hospice of Southeastern Michigan.
Dr. Neumann currently lives in southeast Michigan with his wife of 45 years where they enjoy hiking, sailing, tennis, and their 3 grandchildren.
